Vacation rental hosts manage properties across multiple disconnected tools — spreadsheets for bookings, messaging apps for guest communication, separate billing systems, and manual marketing campaigns. No unified platform existed to handle property management, guest portals with secure authentication, integration with external PMS systems (Beds24, Cloudbeds, Hostaway), marketing campaign dispatch, and subscription billing — particularly in the East African market with M-Pesa payment requirements.

Built a SaaS platform with 19 Eloquent models and 30+ database migrations. Implemented a host dashboard for property management, a guest portal with OTP authentication for passwordless access, a pluggable PMS integration layer using factory pattern for Beds24, Cloudbeds, and Hostaway, a campaign dispatcher with personalisation tokens for email and SMS marketing, subscription-gated features via Laravel Cashier, payments through M-Pesa and Paystack, role-based access control for admin, host, staff, and guest roles, and automated CI/CD deployment to cPanel.
